New Street Play Area, Skate Park and Tennis Court

The New Street Play Area is situated next to the small car park just off Backfields Lane. The enclosed play area is designed for the use of the under 12s. The Skate Park was installed in 2010 in memory of Kyle Salmon, a keen skateboarder and local resident who sadly died of leukaemia aged 13.  The Skate Park was paid for by grant funding raised by Kyle’s family and friends.

Currently the Council is working to secure funding to update the Council’s play equipment.

The Tennis Courts have recently been transformed into a Multi-Use Games Area. This is thanks to a very generous donation of £40,000 from the Upton Blues Festival. You can now play tennis, football, basket ball and netball.
